Renal or Kidney Transplant In Ludhiana, Punjab
Overview: Pre and post Kidney transplant workup and follow up
Renal Transplantation: Throughout the transplant process, our team provides support and education. They will also tell you how to keep healthy all the time after kidney transplant.
Preparing for a new kidney
If the surgeon and the nephrologist approve an application to a kidney, you should be named by an organ selection administrator. Please, ensure that we are able to contact you at all times with all your telephone numbers
Preparation
Be able to depart the house for about an hour in advance. Getting a suitcase ready is convenient. You should have set up travel plans if you are going out of the area. You will help with the execution of these plans with consultation through the financial donation supervisor and the organ selection coordinators. Please note, after calling you for transplant, do not take something to eat or drink with you.
Proceedings
When you arrive in the facility the department of admission or medical care should be told. The unit must wait for you to begin the procedure as you arrive at the Transplant Facility. Before the procedure in a limited period, a lot will happen: chest x-ray, blood checks, important signs, placement of height, weight, and IV.
We’ll carry you to the surgery room for surgery until your child is able to head to the operation center. You will enter the surgery room and the transplant coordinator will call you for the operation.
Post Kidney Transplant
You will go directly to the intensive care unit following transplantation. Your loved ones can come into the room to see you about one hour a day after arrival at the care unit.
Sedation and pain medications are used safely so that you can feel comfortable. As you will also have in their bladder several IVs and a foley catheter. The nurse will explain the purpose of the screens and tubes you are currently attached to. Your loved ones will be told to wash their hands before joining the room or meeting you because hand washing is the best way to protect you from infection during surgery.
One day is a typical stay at the Care unit. During the period:
- You have a nurse who monitors your progress constantly. The care unit team will support you as much as you want to take part in the treatment.
- Healthy parents or relatives can visit 24 hours a day. We call for only two persons to be at the bedside at all points because of the vast quantities of equipment and the room available. Everyone who is exposed to disease (cold, flu, etc.) can not visit the care unit.
Your family and you are then instructed by the surgeon after the transplants how to take care at home. If all goes well, after around a week or so you will be able to go home.
